Handmade italian footwear
craftsmanship, quality, design, & comfort
La Famiglia
Our promise to you
We believe in blending individuality with unity. From the skilled artisans in our Italian factories to each and every member of our team, we promise to deliver you the very best Italy has to offer. You place your trust in us, and we sincerely view you as a part of our famiglia.
We do things the old-school way. We design by hand. We make our shoes by hand. We inspect every shoe by hand. Human hands, not robot manufacturing lines.
In a world overwhelmingly filled with technology and screens, sometimes the old-fashion methods remain the best. Reliable, consistent, and just plain higher quality, we take those three words very seriously: 'Made in Italy' is not just a geographic label, it's a cultural approach to craftsmanship that cannot be duped.
We do this for you. We want you to feel confident in our footwear. We style it accordingly - how you wear things in the real world. This isn't a runway show. There are no models in platform sneakers and sequenced trash bags walking down a catwalk. We are a display of practical everyday style. Look good, feel good, do good. That's our hope for you.
Our shoes are an investment. Investment pieces should be designed to last a lifetime. They should be traditional, but with enough modernity to be relevant. They should age like a Tuscan wine. And ours do.
So thank you for being a part of our family. Truly. It means the world and we want you to know that we are here for you, every step of the way.
who we are
We are MADE IN ITALY
For nearly two decades, Del Toro has been crafting classic Italian footwear with a modern perspective.
Handmade in Italy, our shoes and garments are the product of expert craftsmanship and old-school design. Our shoemakers are multi-generational artisans - their techniques are time-tested family secrets, their obsession with precision is uncommonly disciplined, and their attitude toward crafting the very best footwear is truly unparalleled. They work only with the finest materials Europe has to offer, and will accept nothing short of perfection.
With nearly two decades of dedication to masterful craftsmanship, each individual shoe and garment is a reflection of our attention to detail, our commitment to comfort, and our never-ending journey to bring you the very best Italy has to offer.
We want you to look good. We want you to feel good. We want you to feel like part of la famiglia. Because you are.
Thank you for letting us do what we do.
WE TAKE A HANDS-ON APPROACH
In a world overwhelmed by gimmicky robots and artificial intelligence, we prefer to do things the old-fashioned way...
1. HAND DESIGNED
We design everything by hand. No computers, no fancy programs. Just pencil and paper, from head to hand. We take our inspiration from everywhere – old Italy, new Italy, cars, guitars, seasons, and just things we find all-around interesting.
2. HAND SOURCED
We source everything by hand. We physically touch and feel each fabric, a step necessary to assure it meets our strict quality standards. Like chefs going to market late at night after a long shift, we do the same for our fabrics and materials.
3. HAND SAMPLED
We sample everything we make by hand. Each shoe is made exactly how we would make it in production – with our hands. We need to see, touch, and feel the physical product – no computer generated anything.
4. HAND TESTED
We wear test every single design on our own two feet. We walk for 100 miles in each new style. We dance, we drive cars, we ride bikes - anything that would require footwear in an everyday situation. We walk a mile in your shoes so that we can deliver exactly what you want.
5. HAND CRAFTED
We hand craft our footwear. No, really - we actually make these things by hand. A lot of brands say their products are ‘handmade’ – a term being used very loosely. At Del Toro, we really do build our products with our hands. It's important to feel each stitch, understand the the weight, the suppleness…everything. It’s art in its purest form.
We have a hard time trusting robots, but we do trust our hands. And it's the only way we know the very best will make it into your own.
